Windows Mobile Standard

Howdy. I bought an unlocked SMT 5600 that was set up on ATTWS and now have it set up on t-mobile. The ATTWS home screen that is still on the phone has an email notification section (below where it says "sms:1" it says "email: 1")... the only problem is the icons on the top of the screen are fixed and mmode is one of them and it drives me nuts. The other home screens (windows basic, windows default, etc.) do not have an e-mail notification on it. I even downloaded a different xml file that was designed to have it on there but it doesn't show up on my phone. Any ideas how to remedy this?

On a side note, is the home screen that Orange uses in the UK on the C500 available in XML format ? Is it floating around that anyone knows?

I just got a MPx220 and have been trying to paly MP3s. I can transfer music files but when I try try to play them it says there is an error. Also, I can't figure out how to open it with Windows Media Player. When I type in the file name under "Open URL" it says the file can't be found. Does anyone know how to play music on their MPx220? Any help is greatly appreciated.

OK I'm new here so bear with me if this is in the wrong place or something like that. ok heres my question I'm currently a blackberry user and love these type of phones ( pda style ). well heres the problem I'm interested in the siemens sx66 and i keep hearing it needs a patch for the blue tooth and some beta player and also ring tones x . where do i get these programs from cause i cant find it in a google search . all help will be greatly appreciated

my audiovox smt5600 is now useless because my charger broke, i try to connect it to my PC using a usb cord because you can charge it like that too but my PC wont recogize my phone and the charger light doesnt flash on my phone, any suggestions or help? PLEASE

maybe it will only work with a audiovox usb cord? do i need a software?

I try to connect to phonescoop.com on my Audiovox SMT 5600 (type in www.phonescoop.com) and seem to always get redirected to the WAP version (http://phonescoop.com/wml/index.php is what shows up in the address bar). This only lets me view a very scaled-down version of "Latest News" and "Latest Phones". I would like to be able to pull up the "full-blown" site. Is there a way to stop the phone from re-directing?

I HAD a similar problem with Yahoo...I would type in www.yahoo.com, and it redirected me to "wap.oa.yahoo.com/?fr=FP-redirect". From playing around with this, I found that I can get to the Yahoo site by entering "www.yahoo.com/?mobile". This will get me the "full-blown" version of the site.

I think that the MPX 220 takes some crumby pictures, I took a picture in regular light, it turns dark and really fuzzy, and that is on default settings, I have tried tweaking with the settings, but no luck, anyone else notice/have this problem?

I am really interested in getting a sidekick II, but i have heard that it has a really bad internet browser and its operating system will not allow you to install your own programs on it. So i am wondering if it would be possible to remove the Hiptop OS and install Windows Mobile OS on the sidekick II, and if i do this, will i still be able to get service and internet from T-Mobile? I am also wondering what the harddrive capacity of the sdk2, if it is true that there is no expansion slot, and what the oppinions of people who have the sdk2 are. Also, would it be possible to install a program like napster on a smartphone(not necesarily the sidekick) and use it to listen to music on your phone?

I can't get my cingular media net to work on my at&t mpx220 does anyone know the data connection configuration I should be using???

I just bought an MPX220 from Cingular, how can I tell if I have the latest version. I did notice the box had a orange dot on it but I am not sure if I got the latest version.

I have recently come across several links stating that the new HP Mobile Messenger will soon be released (possibly toward the end of this month). However, after contacting HP, T-Mobile, and Cingular, no one will provide any information.

Does anyone have a solid idea on when these new Mobile Messengers will be released??

I am supposed to program a webpage for a mpx220 but my problem is, that there is always a sidescroll because the phone is seup to "desktop" as standard attribute.

there is a similar problem with nokia devices where you can change this by a different mime type you have to deliver with the webpage. is there something similar so the browser layout is changed to standard by the webserver?

Does anyone know how to do a master reset on a MPx220?

I have a simple question: I have a PPC 6600. AudioVox has an update on their website for the PPC 6601. Can I use this update for my PPC 6600??? This update was a major update for the phone. I had a PPC 6601 and I updated my 6601 with the recommended AudioVox update and it greatly improved my phones speed especially the Bluetooth issues that I had. If this update cannot be applied to the PPC 6600 then were can I get the update from? Does this phone already have the update?
