iSIM

(Integrated SIM)

A smaller version of an eSIM that is embedded directly in the SoC, instead of a separate component on the circuit board.

See: eSIM

See: SoC

This saves space and allows a phone to be very slightly smaller. It also allows the iSIM to integrate directly with the security functions of the SoC, improving security and efficiency.
