Gbps

Gigabits per second

A measure of data transmission rate (speed) equal to approximately 1 billion bits per second.

Data rate is also often measured in Mbps:

1 Gbps = 1024 Mbps

The "Gb" in Gbps should not be confused with GB, which stands for gigabytes, a very different kind of measurement.
