Voice Digit Dialing

A type of voice-driven dialing where the user speaks each digit of the number to be dialed.

Unlike traditional voice dialing, which works by name, voice digit dialing usually does not require training, nor does it require the number to be in the phone book.

Since voice digit dialing is generally much slower than entering the number manually on the keypad, it is most useful for situations where the hands are not available, such as driving.
