i happen to know that they sell v300 to us clients, the v300 is supposed to be a Triband phone (GSM 900/1800/1900), why does it work with my carrier.

Triband phones are usually only 900 mhz in europe, and converted to 850 mhz in the states.

If I'm not mistaken, the v300 was a T-mobile phone, and they use the 1900 mhz frequency. Which carrier are you with?

If your triband phone is unlocked, you can use it on any carrier that supports the frequency ranges your phone can find. All you would need is that network's SIM card.

This depends on who you bought the v300 from. It was offered by AWS for a while and it was Quad band from them. If you bought it as a T-mobile phone then the answer is No you cannot use it with a carrier that runs only GSM 850. But like i said some models of this phone did come with GSM 850.

Depends. Does your carrier also use GSM 1900, like Cingular? If so, then a 900/1800/1900 phone may work on some parts of your carrier's network, but will not give you full coverage.

If your phone has GSM 850 and 1900, it will certainly work with a 1900-only carrier like T-Mobile (as long as it's unlocked).
