What is wrong with flip phones?

Right now, there isn't a single flip smartphone available from the majors: Blackberry Style has been discontinued by Sprint.

Does everybody really need a 4" brick? Is there no more hope for a flip form-factor?

AT&T has the "Double Time" Currently. Not a traditional flip but still a "Clamshell" type non the less. Looks kinda dumb to me though.

I'm quite surprised Verizion didn't pick up the Genesis. Its practically the EnvAndroid.

I was more interested in Android flip-phones for GSM networks.

Can't HTC or Samsung cook something up?

There's no room for innovation, the people with all the flip phone patents would sue if they tried to make a flip smartphone D:

RIM made a flip BB. I can't remember what it was called.
