Nextel i860 release date?

Does anyone know when nextel is releasing this phone? I heard October 1. I saw pictures of it online on someones site, that means he had to get it somewhere. Anyone know where I can pick one up now?

Phone graphics have been available for some time. I have heard Oct 1st as the release date myself.

i have had a confirmation of october 1st. my sources say that in NRS we will be receiving the phones and then to all other channels a few days or so after october 1st.
