i've heard and read all about it
but motorola needs to put more memory and sd or mini sd slot and mega pixel camera w/video and flash, edge of course, wi fi could be useful if u use ur razr as a wireless modem

the v3 sucks, the damn screen goes out after like a month and reception is sadly lacking, no external antenna? What the hell do they think they are? Nokia?

i've sold about a hundred of these from the day v3 came out i have yet to see one customer complain
when i sell the razr i tell the person what he's getting and what the razr lacks
plus i have the v551 which gives u edge and video capture over the razr but not the look
at a lower price

This phone is a fashion statement, and groundbreaking for design. That said, I prefer the V551 over the V3

Dear Colione,
Are you SURE about that video issue?
My side-by-side comparison of the RAZR V3x (the V1150) and the V551 (on the Mobiledia site) says that in fact, the V3x has both video recording and video calling, whereas the V551 has only video recorder.
Also, to show the V3x winning at almost everything:
V3x has Transflash memory card.
V551 has no memory card.
V3x has HSDPA.
V551 does not.
V3x display is 320 x 240 pixels.
V551 is 176 x 220 pixels.
V3x has 262,000 colors (TFT)
V551 has 65,000 color...

the other stuff is correct, but u can't really compare the external disp.. they aren't even the same category.
i like both phones, but functionality, i like the 551 more.

I forgot what your website listed. Which Nokias are coming out that will compete with Motorola? And maybe I might feel more secure sticking in a higher end category. I have heard too many people talking about cheap phones and how they can't do the job that the good reception laid out for them. -Lorna

the only clamshell so far is the 6102, but i remember reading somewhere they were planning some more for early 06 to combat moto in the mid price range

yea they are based on the new Q series phones... their hope is to take out blackberry (even though they are licensing the blackberry email program to power these devices)

Pink (ya, I was blown away too, but it makes sense) and a metallic blue (it looks really sexy, especially with the backlight on). The one less likely to make it to prduction is a dark smokey gray/black for obvious reasons. It may not attract more customers but split sales from the silver and black into three instead of two, creating slightly higher production costs w/o added revenue. They're testing focus groups to see if the new colors would attract people away from competitors (like nokias flip phones and the samsung p207). The pink is almost certain and the metallic blue (kinda dark blue) is pretty certain too. They've also concidered light green and a few others. Its like the ipod mini all over again.

They ought to remember DEEP CHERRY RED. I have a deep cherry red Motorola V60i. (Wish I could embed a photo of it in this message!) Why on earth did they neglect that almost universally liked color?!?
