Siri and Other Speech Recognition Apps

Aug 17, 2012, 9:17 PM
My question is this; where are all the complainers who chided Nextel users for having speakerphone conversations in public? At least we are speaking to real people instead of an app!

I also would like to know why these same folk think it is easier to text than Direct Connect? Does not using an app like Siri defeat that rationale?

I personally think it is easier to use something like Direct Connect or PTT. However, texting can be more convenient. I personally don't use hardly any apps such as Siri, with the exception of the Voice Search built into Google Maps. Sometime Speech to Text when I am texting (if I'm drunk, Swype sucks when your drunk)

Texting is more convenient for the fact that everyone doesn't need to hear your business so you can be more discrete about it.

Just barely hear you,
I can just barely hear you.
This is a warning
Step away from the car
This car is protected by Viper.
Guess where I am?
I'm calling from the plane
I'll call you when I get there.
You won't hear a buzz
But I'm buzzing you in
I'm buzzing you in.
What's your order?
I can Super-size that
Please bring your car around.
I can hear you
Just barely hear you
I can Just barely hear you.
