Verizon Bluetooth compatability with other carriers

just a word of advice, i had a sprint phone and the bluetooth's for sprint sucked so i tried a bluetooth from verizon and i found out that using a verizon bluetooth with another carrier, the bluetooth beeps every 3 - 5 min , making you think your getting a call, its really annoying, so i figured i would share this with everyone who figures that all bluetooths are the compatible for different carriers

Bluetooth is pretty much universal as far as pairing one wireless carrier's Bluetooth headset with another one's wireless device as long as both are 1.1 and/or 2.0+EDR(soon to be 2.1+EDR). Even though Bluetooth is a universal protocol, each headset may very well operate differently with different devices. An example of this is when I had my (RED) Motorola RAZR V3m(Sprint) and had it paired with a Black Motorola H700(Cingular Wireless exclusive), I could play JAMDAT Mobile's SOCOM: Mobile Recon and hear all the game action through the H700 yet I don't playing the same game on my Samsung A90(Sprint).
