Using a cell phone as a wireless modem for a Pocket PC

I have an audiovox XV-6600 that I don't use that often, but I would like to be able to use my Verizon Wireless Samsung SCH-A950 as a bluetooth modem and use the Quick-to-net feature to access the net. I don't plan on doing many things that would require a high data speed, mainly email and IM only.

I know that the number to dial is #777 and my user name and password are both qnc.

I am having dificulty paring my XV-6600 with my SCH-A950 for the PDA to recognise the phone as a wireless modem.

Does anybody have any ideas about this?

On my hitachi g1000 i had to use a registry editor on my pocket pc and there is a modem switch that you have to enable. do some google searching to try and find the registry tweak, if i can find the tweak for my g1000 then you should easily find it for your phone.

Verizon will allow the A950 to be tethered as a modem soon.
The modem speeds will be EVDO, but it will cost $59.99 a month.
