Will it work?
Will the 8125's wifi work even if I don't have an account with Cingular or a SIM card? I bought it from someone who upgraded to the 8525 and I really only want it for the PDA function and wifi.

Yes on both accounts. Even without a voice and/or data plan with a GSM wireless carrier, you can still access WiFI APs and use the 8125 as a PDA. Without a voice/data plan, the only calls able to be placed are 911 and 611 and no data access via GPRS/EDGE.
