Syncing iPhone

My new iphone wont sync with my macbook?

I backed up the old one before I traded it in and now I can't get the new one to add my stuff back.

Any suggestions?

Do you have the latest iTunes and latest FW on your iPhone? I'd assume you got the 4S, right?
