T-Mobile Wing

Good Day Everyone. Another question. I understand that the Opera Browser rocks on the Moto Q Global 9H. Could this be downloaded onto the Wing ??? Would it help the freeze-factor ???. Also, a T-Mobile rep told me a memory card would help the freeze-factor.

Any thoughts and input would be very much appreciated.

I would go with the Curve for the simple fact is that it has less issues than the Moto Q and the Wing. Plus the Opera Mini browser works on it. That and all Blackberrys have email sync(in a sense) on their phones

Many thanks for your reply. I tried the Curve in the store and I liked it, but I have a feeling the browser will not do all I want it to do. I fell in love with the Wing's touch screen and love the fact that it is a microcomputer. I believe I can also sync my email to the Wing. I think it uses the BB server ??? But I may be confusing this with another PDA. Thanks again :-). TTFN -- Danger

That, and getting a Micro SD card wouldn't hurt.

Many thanks for your input. My BB 7290 is my first PDA, so I'm not familiar with all the add ons. What is a Micro SD card ??? I am planning to get a 2 GB memory card. Is this the same thing ??? Thanks again :-). TTFN -- Danger

Thank you. I don't feel so dizzy now LOL !!! 2 GB should be good for me. I don't download ringtones or music. All I would is store some emails, but not too many of those. My PDA is strictly for email and internet. I have a separate cell phone just for calling and texting. Thanks again and have a great weekend :-) -- Danger

as a tmobile rep it is slightly laggier then the other smart phones. Plus think about it it runs off of windows and your pc runs off of windows and that freezes sometimes too. the best thing to do is try a memory card probably atleast 2 gig and then if it does freeze take out the battery and leave it out for a min or two but make sure you don't turn the phone off before takeing the battery out this hard cycles the phone

Well, thanks T-Mobile Rep !!! I appreciate your input. The Rep I spoke with in the store told me pretty much the same thing. He recommended the Sidekick as better at surfing the web. But I really don't like the way the screen flips around and I still think of it as a teenage phone. Plus, I love the fact that the Wing is a microcomputer !!! Well, I am certainly used to taking out the battery without turning off the device. I often do this hard re-set with my BB 7290 :-). I was going to get the 1GB memmory card, but have been rethinking the 2 GB. And you have helped to make up my mind. Many thanks :-). TTFN -- Danger

What people don't realize is the wing is a computer. Just like the one you have at home. I tell every customer I sell one to that they need to make sure to use the task manager to close open programs. This helps alot with keepig the phone running smooth. Plus soft rest the phone every few days as well. The clears out the temp memory. As for getting a memory card I would highly recommend getting one and save all your files(pics, music, docs) to it. As well as install all programs on it, unless they need to be installed on the phone. That will keep the memory free for running the phone.

Many, many thanks for your input. Actually, the fact that it is a computer is exactly why I wanted it. I am thinking I will be so much better able to surf the web than on a Blackberry. Also, I will sync my email to the phone, but I want to be able to to directly into my CompuServe and Yahoo email and be able to compose, reply, forward. My BB 7290 browser will not allow these functions. I probably will little, if ever, actually use Word and Excel, but I will definitely love being able to view PP attachments.

LOL, I know about task manager and having to close out programs from my dinosaur of a home computer. I'm always using it to close out of things that freeze up LOL !!! I use it at work too sometimes, for the same reason.

It should pop up with save or save as. Select save as and then there is an option to save it to the card.
