How do you get out -car kit- mode on an LG6000 camera phone. I called verizon and they couldn't figure it out. Please email me at sshipley@columbus.rr.com with answer. Thanks

I know that there is a software bug on the vx7000 which causes it to go into car-kit mode. It is possible that the vx6000 has this software bug as well. If you take your phone into a corporate store im sure a good software flash or update would solve this problem for you. 😁

OK I see this problem every day, and it has yet to be a problem with the software. Lets just say your phone took a bath in some liquid of some sort (sweat, water, milk). Your Phone is Fried --- Have a good day.

If your wifes phone says that occasionally then it dosent work just fine. An error is not just fine.

The previous dude or chicka was correct, the phone is fried. You are SOL. Flashing it won't solve anything, unless you are into that sort of thing.

A headset should work on it.

And a good day to you, sir!! 😈 😉 🤣

Actually I know quite a bit about cell phones. . I work on them daily. What it usually means is that there is a software problem. 99.9% of the time it has been caused by liquid damage. Flashing the phone-- ie reloading the software -- will not fix the problem. For my job.. i have to know all the phones.. also for that other .1% when we take the phone apart there is some type of corrosion.

I'm afraid the bad news is correct. If you got car kit mode and it ain't in a car kit, that is a common indicator of LD, not unlike headset mode on older TDMA nokia's. There is corrosion that is causing a connection that you can't see and makes the phone think it is hooked up to something. I recommend an insurance claim. Unless you bought a 300$ phone and didn't want to fork out the 4.95$ per month to insure it.

you'd be surprised how many people don;t do that. i had a mom buy a 6000 for her 7 year old a while ago and decline the insurance. i wanted to slap her.

I have read all the responses to this thread and nobody has given you the right answer. Your phone has been liquid damaged. That is why it is stuck in car kit mode. If you call LG they will tell you the same thing. Sorry but your SOL. Hint: dont get your phone wet. 😎

Umm if you look at when I posted my thread it was YESTERDAY. Which you didn't post until 1 AM today. I am the one who suggested the liquid damage before you. Might want to open your eyes 😳

Acutally, take tha battery out of the phone...check the little circle at the bottom...if it's pink..means it came in contact with liquid. If that is the case, the software shuts off the Mic/Speaker to prevent shorts. It a safety feature. Unfortuneatly, no way to get out of car-kit.
