Bluetooth in Car???

I posted this on a different thread and then realized this was really the place for it!

I am about to make a new car purchase and it has bluetooth in it. Are there certain phones that work better with the bluetooth in cars? I knew someone with an Acura and he said that his phone would work great with headset bluetooth but not with his car bluetooth. Any ideas? I'm deciding between the Motorola V9M or one of the two new LG's due out on Wednesday (probably the LG vx 10000).

FWIW, I have an Acura TL which has the Johnson Controls hands free link. I have paired it with a number of phones including a Blacberry 7100 series (T-Mobile); a Blacberry Pearl (AT&T/Cingular); a Treo 650 (Cingular) and a Motorola KRZR 1m (Verizon). All worked fine and were really easy to pair up.

I heard a lot of problems a few years ago, but don't hear much of anything now.

Note that you should check the version of Bluetooth that you are getting with your phone and make sure that version is supported by your car.

Beyond that, do get a hands free link in your car. It is GREAT!
