U740 or EnV
hey i just got a new contract and i dont know which phone to get, the U740 by samsung or EnV my LG. im a huge texter i probably text more than call. so thats why i wanted a QWERTY phone. i have had a samsung and a LG. i just had the LG 8600 and wasnt satisfied. so i dont know which to get. any help will be GREAT. thanks alot.
P.S. my parents do not want to spend alot of money on the EnV but if i say that it is a better phone than the U740 than they might lol thanks

i have the env and like it alot....ive never used the u740 but i dont really like the way its setup....and i can only imagine the problems it would have with the hinge thing its got going on (and like i said ive never used it so i might be wrong on that).
if i had to make a decision between the 2 i would choose the env again. the only problems ive had with it is it will powercycle at times (only when zooming with camera or sometimes when using the media net function, but not offen...and ive heard you can get this fixed with an update but its not a big deal for me).

The enV is bigger but if that doesn't bother you, then its a better phone. Bigger keypad, bigger screen (for your eyes), and a 2.0MP camera (u740 only has 1.3mp)

Both phones are great, they do alot of the same things. As a verizon rep, I've found two things.
1. The keypad on the u740 is alot smaller than that on the enV. If you have larger hands (or no fingernails) like me, the u740's keypad can seem far too cluttered.
2. The u740 is alot smaller and thinner than the brick we call the enV.
It's really a personal choice. If you have larger hands like me, the obvious choice is the EnV. However, the u740 is a really really sharp looking phone (especially in black). The feature sets on the phones are just about identical, the enV has a bit better camera, but that's about it. Good luck in your decision!

Lg is a good brand. i am not fond of Samsung. the buttons on the samsung are smaller in my opinion. the Env has a better megapixel for the camera. you have 30 days to try it out, so would get what you like the most (look wise). i wk for Verizon, and we seel moe of the Envs
