Music on Demand...aka Money on Demand
1. The mp3 player is crippled until verizon releases Music on Demand.
2. The SD expansion card is pointless and unusable until verizon unlocks it or releases a "money on demand" service.
3. The EV-DO high speed data service is limited to only about a dozen markets.
4. Bluetooth protocols are limited to headset only which means no data transfer for syncing with your computer or your Acura until Verizon releases the service.
I heard Verizon will be releasing the Music on demand service in 6 to 8 months. That is rediculous because i think we've seen this before in the vx8000 where it was very difficult to utilize as an mp3 player and the outside playback buttons were rendered useless...

1) You can get the free version 4 software upgrade at Verizon stores, but I've read that it fouls up the BT DUN. If that's true and doesn't bother you, it's supposed to make the MP3 playback uncrippled and the buttons on the front work. Check with the Verizon store.
2) You can get the mini SD card and when the phone initializes it it'll build a "My Sounds" folder. If you rename the .MP3 files to .MID (it recognizes and plays MIDI files too) they play just fine from the menu (but only with the phone open.) It's a workaround until (and if) they fix the modem problem, if that really exists. I'm using this to play MP3s on my VX8100 now and it works fine.
