Will they come out with improved Voyager soon?
I will be due for a new phone soon and I'm looking into getting the Voyager with Verizon....I am willing to wait a couple of months more for Voyager 2 if I know it is coming out soon.
Reasons I like Voyager,
HTML Browser (otherwise I would like env2)
Option for Mobile TV if I want it later (not that important to me)
real QWERTY keyboard (vs. Dare's virtual keyboard)
Cons of voyager,
No keypad on front (not really touchscreen person, but I'll deal for an HTML browser)
If anyone knows of any other phones, that have these feature, I would love to hear from you.
I don't want to waste money buying the voyager only to have the new one come out a couple of months later.

In my experience with Verizon, they tend to always release a taste of what's to come in the fourth quarter (novemberish). 9 times out of 10, there will be a new version of the voyager and verizon will probably be getting it in november. THIS IS NOT GUARANTEED! but i'm pretty sure something better will come by that time. if you want a voyager now, i suggest looking on craigslist or ebay, the price differential will be slight, and you still leave yourself open to maybe getting the voyager 2 if one was to come out. if you must have the phone brand new, you can always open a family share plan and then just pay the $10 a month plus get the phone under 2 year pricing. But bottom line, don't waste your upgrade, there is definately something better...

If he cancels his existing line he loses the number (some people care, some people dont) - also he has to wait a couple months before the contract is up. Upgrade eligibality is always a couple months before the contract is up accross the board for all carriers. I would suggest buying it outright (Ill sell you one for 200 and a bunch of accessories) off the internet or from an indirect to get a cheaper deal.
