Customer Service Repugnancy in NC
I paid a visit to my local Chapel Hill, NC store today in hopes of upgrading my phone.
I was under the belief that by working for a local hospital I get a 25% discount off phones and accessories. This is what I have been told every time prior when in the store and asking about phone upgrading out of contract. Anyhow, I finally get helped by CSR and discuss which phones have best signal strength and reception. I then ask for prices of the phones out of pocket. I then discuss my 25% discount off that price and was told that the discount applies only to accessorries. I'm shocked and explain what I was told. Again, just accessorries. CSR rep asks only other rep in the store who doesn't confirm rather states works with new phone contracts. I the...

Normally the discount only applies to accessories as it does when it is an employee sale. Personally I would escalate to a manager or talk to the original rep and they should be able to do it for you. IN all honesty they have no reason to not want to give you they discount cause they make no money off selling you the phone. Good luck!!

Try going to the Cary store on Kildaire Farm Road. They have always been able to help me and they all seem genuinely interested in answering questions.
I am an employee of the State of NC. We are entitled to a 25% discount. When I bought my phone (6255i) they gave me the discount off the phone, no question. My girlfriend bought a v262. She is not an NC employee but is on my plan. They gave us the discount off the phone and the accessories, no questions.

its in south cary. from chapel hill, you'd probably go I40 east to 54 east to cary parkway south (right) and around to kildaire farm south (right). mapquest it. if you're going south on kildaire, its on the right but its hard to see. its in a strip mall (surprise!) with a harris teeter.

What kind of problem did the 6255i have with the MMS? I'm at a loss. But everybody else on this board says to go with the V710 which is far more superior for signal strength and reception.

alltel gives 25% discounts on phones? that doesnt make sense? what would someone pay for a 710 after rebates and a 2 year plan? Also I would not want this snuggles person as a customer no matter what company i worked for.... you know the type.
