Isn't a smart phone, requires a data plan, and is 249.99 after rebates? ouch kinda crazy dont ya think seeing that Verizon has a similar phone thats a flip phone, the flip is a touch screen type of thing, pretty cool id say and its not a smart phone however its 109.99 at my local VZW store

what does it matter...with your pearl you already have a smart choice plan.....so no rate plan change for you.... 🙂

im out of contract, as told by a rep when i called to get info on how to load it (like i said never did the software updates before) they told me im out of contract and can remove my smartchoice plan

i would not do that with the pearl on your account...you need to keep the unlimited data as the blackberry is constantly linking with its server. If you don't you will see usage..ie minutes being sucked up...if you have another phone to use that would not require a smart choice for data then go ahead.
