Wondering if anyone has heard if Alltel will get the Palm Centro that Sprint has recently released. If not I'll be getting the new 755p. Anyone have any gripe about the Palm OS? Wondering if I should get the 700wx instead with Windows mobile....

Just looking at reviews not only on the phonescoop website, but others as well, the reliability/quality of the product hasn't been all that great. Yes I know that Palms have had their fair share, just seems like the Palm is a little higher in build quality.

Hm... I dont believe that Alltel will get the Centro. I think Alltel is waiting for Palm to release the Linux OS. Not sure exactly. You would have to wait till around christmas to see what alltel is bringing out. Or just wait till this site tells you.

Palm announced last week that a new OS would not be available until 2008, so factor that into your decision making.

I am using the 755. Absolutely love it. I don't have any problems with the headset having static, coming disconnected if your more the 2 feet away from the phone, it hasn't froze o my yet (i have had it a week).
By far this is the most stable phone I have ever used!! I had the 700wx. Battery life was horrible, froze up never stayed connected to my bluetooth. I have never had issues with RF with it because I live in a good service area so that I can not help you with. The 755 is a little lighter, a little smaller too. If ringtones are a big deal for you then you will have to get ringo or something like that.
If you want more info let me know. I love this phone, have yet to find anything untolerable about it.
