NEXTEL needs NEW phones
I'm a SprintPCS user and a NEXTEL user because of my career, But I personally think NEXTEL should get rid of MOTOROLLA, cause they have been making crappy phones, ever since they stopped making the STARTEC. Nextel needs other phone companies, to make phone for them like SANYO, SAMGSUNG, LG , NOKIA, SHARP etc.....
I have had a camara phone on my Sprintpcs since early 2001, yet NEXTEL has plans to come out with a camara phone sometime by the end of the year. By then SprintPCS will have teleportation, by the time NEXTEL reaches them up to par. lol, I will be able to send full lenght videos with my SPRINT phone. But I would love to see other phones offered by NEXTEL besides "MOTOROLLA: brands.

None of the manufacturers you suggested make IDEN phones...that may be why NEXTEL uses Motorola handsets exclusively

nextel will have a camera phone in october actually. and with that camera phone you can record up to a 10 second video . but anyway regarding nextel using other vendors? well that can happen ONCE motorola makes it so that nextel's iden push to talk and network goes well with cdma networks. it has something to do with qchat. i think after that task is complete then u will see nextel using other vendors.
