Direct Talk - The Off-Network Walkie-Talkie
Hey everyone,
Has anyone heard if Nextel is planning on offering Direct Talk on more of their phones (i830,i860, etc...). It would be a great feature to have without having to buy the brick 325 or 315. I am considering upgrading phones from my i95 soon, but would wait if they were doing this in the near future. Any leads would be appreciated.

No the i830 and i860 do not support Direct Talk nor does the i605 that will be out after the 1st of the year. You have to utilize the i3## phones to access Direct Talk at this time.

I like bricks! I like the i325! The best dog gone built brick (or any Nextel phone) out there! I would never leave home with it! 🙂
