Motorola/Nextel's/Boost Mobiles New i930
When is Motorola releasing the i930? It looks like a awesome phone to have and the features are finally coming to the iDEN Networks.

I am not a rep or dealer or anything but one of my friends is and he told me that you probably won't see the i930 till the first quater of 2005. I don't know how true that is but I have to think it is somewhat on the money. I mean the i860 is coming out here pretty soon. I can't imagine nextel would put another phone out any sooner than 2 or 3 months from the time the i860 is released. Plus you know how nextel likes to make us wait on the new products.

Well being it hasn't hit the FCC's doorstep yet for type acceptance I really doubt that Q1 2005 would be an accurate estimate.
Type acceptance process is a minimum of 90 days and then once it's approved it can be manufactured. Looking at how many months the i860 went from type acceptance to being sold on Southernlinc (approximately 7 months). I can't see the i930 will be any different.
I highly doubt it being offered on the market anytime before Q3 2005, but this is just a reality assumption on my part being I am very aware of the processes at the FCC.
