I know southernlinc is testing a new IDEN phone that is coming out 3rd or 4th Q of this year. It supposedly as skinny and small as a razr but I don't have any more info then that.

I cannot say regarding if the i880 is the last IDEN phone but I can say that it might. The dual mode phones are actually IDEN phones also, well qualify as them, and more of those phones will come out in the future.
The dual mode phones have been a success with currently more than 200k people on the network.
