Billing Conversion Announcement

· Change:
o Siebel Accounts are being converted to CARE or Telegence depending on the market.
· Description:
o Over the next several months, Siebel Billing Accounts will be migrated into CARE or Telegence. Certain transactions will not be allowed during this conversion. See below for details on how to identify accounts in the conversion and what errors may be seen.
· There are three stages a customer’s account could be in during the Billing Conversion:
o Quiet Period - July 29th – September 11th
§ This is the period during which an account is being prepared for transfer into CARE or Telegence.
o In Conversion - September 11th- September 12th

Does this mean I would have to migrate from ATTWS GSM Nation Family Plan and migrate from ATTWS branded phones to Cingular phones and plans ?????

i don't think that it is good practice to post something that is obviously for cingular employees. what did you cut and paste this from some internal site? you should be fired for something like this.

Really... the fact that we are going to be using different systems is not really super secret. It will not affect the customers or the business in anyway. Do you think at convergys we are ever trusted with any information that would be top secret???? They tell us a week after a policy changes that it occured 🙂

Plus I'm not really all that loyal to Cingular anyway. My paychecks come from Convergys. I would like Cingular to drop us, so we could have a better client to deal with as Cingular has been less then stellar.

The best part of ConvergysSlave's post is the last line : "Calls from converted customers are routed to correct Orange centers" 😁 🙂 😎

Well. I have received the company e-mail as well. And I'm pretty sure we are discouraged from just randomly sending those out to whomever asks for them.
They do appear to be phasing out seibel and merging the billing systems so everything will run out of care/telegence. I haven't heard an exact date like September 11th, but it sounds about right.

it must be that everything is going to be merging to OPUS.

Exactly. The goal is to have all accounts in one system. Not just to combine blue into the orange systems. Eventually they'll all be in one system not some in Telegence some in Care. This paves the way for National call routing and everyone will be takin calls from every market.

I think you're probably right that this will happening that soon -- I've noticed Telegence has been upgraded and now has a field for each account which shows which network our customers are on -- whether it be "Orange", "Blue", or "Both". The new version of CARE was also just released but I haven't noticed anything as obvious as the Telegence change.

what a dumb @$$ claim, why waist your time or thoughts on something so stupid. Why would they pick such a tragic day in US history.

I believe that they picked this day solely because it is a Sunday. They seem to do these type of transactions on Sundays so it has the least impact to the customer base. When the accounts are actually being moved to care/telegence customer care will be unable to make any changes.

Well wrong wrong wrong you are. There are still Cingular reps working on sundays and customers can still call a call center. They are just routed to a different area. Gets your facts straight. And why would Cingular move everyone over without their knowledge...that is illegal

Where do you get your info? how is this illegal? what billing system a company uses makes no difference. a company does not need to get permission to from its customers on what billing system it uses especially since what they are trying to do is to merge everything into one. it is not saying you have to change the plan you are on. it just means your info is in another system as apposed to another. but yes a some cin...

Will this move have any impact on customers who currently have ATTWS GSM plans or ATTWS branded phones ????

Thanks

Not in the least, any changes will be felt internally. It's just an alignment of billing systems.
