? for Cingular Rep. RE: Contract transfer

Is it true that I can transfer my Cingular contract to a willing recipient instead of that person starting a new line of service?

Is there a fee to transfer?

If I transfer, does the contract retain the bank of rollover minutes?

The reason I ask is that I have a line of service with Cingular that is about halfway through a 2 year agreement. I used it for a short time where I had a requirement for their service but since then, I have not used it. I have almost 4400 rollover minutes banked now and I was just thinking that if someone wanted to take over this line, they would be only assuming less than one year of a contract and if they are a heavy user would benefit greatly from the rollover bank.

If this is possible, please let me...

You can do a transfer of service, there is a $36 transfer fee but otherwise you keep your rollover and contract length. There is a number but I don't have it on me so just calling Customer Care will get it done.

also the "willing recipient" may be subject to a credit check and possible deposit.

I thought it was an $18 transfer fee? Did they recently change it?

Its $18.00 per line. And from another post, yes before the new person can take the account the credit check is performed on them and possible deposit may be required from what comes back on the credit check.
