Have a phone that I bought in Asia, tri-band. I currently have ATT, but am concerned that after the merger goes through that Cingular might drop the 1900 band. Any truth to this?

Hey, is there any way to know what the Tampa/St. Pete, Florida markets use? I tried for a long time with customer service to find out but sorta went in circles.

I.e. is it 800 or 1900 since i too have a 900/1800/1900 i am hoping it is 1900.

Tampa is part of the "West Florida" market... it uses 1900MHz. It's also 1900 in the Ocala area and the panhandle.
