2 questions for Cingular Customer Service please
First, i recently purchased a unlocked Razr and need to get settings to get on the web. Other than calling customer service, maybe a web tool can can send the settings to the phone?
Secondly, my son has a CU500 LG on the 19.99 max media package. If i bought him a blackjack for Christmas, will he CV and web browser work on the blackjack. (he does not need email or anything, just Media net and CV)

There isn't an OTA(over the air) settings wizard for the media net and mms settings for the razr. There should be an online tutorial through cingulars web site that describes how to manually change the settings on the phone. The samsung blackjack is supposed to use the unlimited smartphone or the unlimited pda connect plans for the cingular video. There is an issue though with the cingular video working on the pda's as of right now.

Chainsaw, unlimited smartphone isn't a 'sanctioned' plan for any PDA.
The PDA Max includes Cingular Video. We had a guy yesterday that switched his plan from PDA to PDA Max and the CV worked fine...

Actually there is, customer service has access to a tool called "mobile device manager" that will send the mms/media net settings over the air, but with unlocked devices, its hit or miss. Usually works about 50% of the time ☹️

Yes, you do. The unlimited data plan for the blackjack is 39.99. You might be able to get away w/o switching for awhile, but Cingular has a department that runs sweeps, and if they find that, they will block you from using the internet with the 19.99 package, forcing you to upgrade to the 39.99.

Where do you see this 39.99 plan for unlimited? The 39.99 data connect plan is 20mb.

it isn't a data connect plan. It is a pda unlimited plan for 39.99 or the pda max for 49.99 which includes 1000 messages.

there is a setting manually and ota over the air text!!its in device support i just did my new unlocked razr v3xx and razr maxx and works like a charm..good luck!! 😁
