switching back to AT&T name?
I'm assuming the name is more prominent, but I'm also thinking how much will be saved with advertising for both Cingular and ATT corporate.

Cingular spent over 4 billion dollars branding At&t to Cingular and now they are doing it all over again.

Hmmm, one name. That's billions less each year on having to advertise and market two brands.
Any AT&T commercial will automatically prod the consumers brain and connect it with all the services they offer. Wireless for wireline. Satellite for DSL. All of them.
It will save them more money than they will have spent on rebranding.

Secondly, it doesn't matter what affiliation AT&T and AT&T Wireless had. They are both one in the same now. That's what counts, and that's what is going to save them advertising/marketing money each year.
Next, there are no additional cell sites, aside from the ones that Cingular are putting up as we speak. The AT&T Wireless acquisition is long done with. And Cingular as a company is receiving no more money than they always have been. SBC and Bellsouth own them now, and they will own them when they become one single entity. No new pockets there.
And finally, I agree that the rebranding of Cingular to AT&T isn't going to hurt them. I stated it was beneficial to...
