i've experienced that too. ๐Ÿ˜

but for whatever reason i haven had anyone out of contract that wasnt eligable or past 18 or 21 months that wasnt eligable for an upgrade.

so this new upgrade policy hasnt taken a negative toll on me yet. i'm not sure if its clearly hit my area yet but i'm guessing it has because i just upgraded a lady who got 2 black razr's on 01/12/06 yesterday to two 8125's ๐Ÿ˜

So..ive noticed online that they've changed it so it say that i may* be eligible when i hit the 21 month mark..so that doesnt sound to promising to me. My family is on a family plan with 4 lines and we have one of the more high up media plans and we pay about $250 a month. For the most part we use more nights and weekends than anything as we pay for early nights and weekends. Our mobile to mobile is about he same as our anytime minutes right now..but we are a family of 4 so we do tend to call each other a bit. We've also accumalated almost 1000 rollover minutes that expire next month. And we payed full price for atleast 2 of our phones. So, im just wondering, does that seem profitable to you cingular reps on here?

according to what's been explained as *the new upgrade policy* my answer is yes ans no.

NO because of your usage.
YES because the fact that 2 of the phones you own were not given on a contract discount.

I think that they usually let the main line on the account upgrade early but the add a lines have always been 21 months from what I have seen. Depending on what market you are in you may qualify for "VIP" upgrade pricing which is better than new customer pricing. Even if POSII our point of sales system says that you are not eligible to upgrade we always check our VIP system to see if we can override it!

Hey sowhat and pimp I've got Ocean front land and a house for sell in North Dallas. Beach right out your front door. If u want it, I'll sell it cheap just because ur a cingular rep. You are not helping Cingular by posting. Can u spell discrimination? Probably not. Every business is out to make money, not all do it by kicking the poor. Think about it!

Hmm rumor..i dont understand what you're saying..im just a customer wanting to know if my account was profitable or not..I dont even think im going to buy another phone from cingular. I think im going to buy an unlocked phone because the sony cybershot phone is coming out soon..and that should work when it comes time to get an AT&T sim card..if they make us.

Sorry Pimp and sowhat --that should have been for Chainsaw or any service rep. that thinks it's something cool or good for Cingular to upgrade someone after 1/4 of their plan is up. When others are being cut for basic plans, using to much n&w or M2m. ect... Well anyway I'm not buying it. 6/7 month upgrade sounds like a joke.

At midnight my ADD kicks in. lol

Thanks! I believe you.
By the way what do you think of Texaxwireless.
Do you think he is hurting Cingular ----he takes it way to seriously. Name calling and all. It's been fun seeing him blow up. He should know he makes it easy to push his buttons, people like me will be gone tomorrow. Bet u are glad he is not in your PR dept. I tried to send a peace leaf because I know it's his business and I don't really want to be a part of his anger.

Hey Chainsaw thanks for showing some class to not reacting to my message. One of my best friends is a service rep and it's easier to please customers than not to. Makes your job more fun. So some policies can make your job harder. This one will changed some, those that abuse the system it will be har...

appoligy accecpted......the bottom line is THEY WERE ELIGEABLE!

they came into my store telling me they were eligable. i thought they were like anyone else 18 months into the contract. when i saw they had black razr's my eyebrow raised and asked if they got them at retail and NO was the answer they got them in jan. for an upgrade. and their account proved it.

Your ignorance is astounding.

Obviously you have just formed your opinion about this policy on your name sake rather than facts.

This has never been about HOW MUCH you spend and you making this a discrimination or rich vs. poor issue shows your intelligence level.

guessing you didn't care for my response to you're reply on the other thread " upgrades"
Maybe u should. I'm sorry I got your pannies in a wad.

Though out this site Service reps justify treating High end customers better. The LTV/ranking system is based on revenue, acc plan, length of service, on and off network, ect.....It comes down to Money. SO just like the other thread you respond to something without facts. When u get them it upsets u. You name call and don't back it up with anything at all. Do you really think it's not about how much you spend??????
Here is my last comment for you. Cingular was not going to upgrade me, now after they were told of my business they are kissing my bottom to keep me. I can give my opinion and I th...

NO. it's not about how much you spend, period. case in point. a cust came in and was our 129.99 ft plan with only 2 phones. media packs on both. insurance on both. monthly service over 170.00 one line was out of contract, not eligible b/c of LTV1. and most custoemrs that are affected by this AREN'T low spenders... they are usually on higher plans or have high bills... it's more of HOW everything is used... case in point the examp...
