New Upgrade policy....cont.
Lots of you either didn't believe me, or thought it wasn't anything that would affect the average customer, but I just got my first chance to deny someone an upgrade. PLEASE someone tell me what's wrong with this guy:
I kid you not, he's out of contract, is on a 2 line FT plan with the base line at $100.00/month (FT2100). He's using the same old SE t616 that he's had for years on the base line and it's just gettin old. WHY OH WHY CAN'T I GET HIM A NEW PHONE!?!?!? 👿
I had a family of four who were on the $149.99 FT plan an used 14,000+ minutes altogether. They didn't qualify either. 🙄
But I'm still pullin up the everyday $39.99 upgrade eligible person every five minutes! 😳

Exactly my original point! How are these people unprofitable? Regardless of how much M2M or N/W min they use they're still payin thru the frickin nose!
Their usage (14,000+ minutes) costs us more than what they pay us ($149.99/$9.99) each month. That's why.

Do the math. $149.99/14,000=$0.0107 dollars per minute. The companies can not make money off of an earnings of 1 penny/min. That is why they do not get the upgrade. The $39.99 person probably uses 300 minutes total. That is equal to 13.33 cents per minute, thats profit. 😁
You and I know the math and how the companies think, but Average Guy over there doesn't. So since he's not legally obligated to keep his service he's more inclined to go somewhere else, thereby making the company absolutely no money. Which is better? A penny per minute and a satisfied customer, or big fat goose egg and someone willing to tell people that he got screwed?
I know these people are paying for service, not phones, but how many customers do you know that realize that?
It's not that I don't understand that the company wants to make money. I just think that losing on...

Yeah, and what customer wouldn't see that as BS? I pay $150 and I can't get a discount on a phone, but Joe Schmoe with his little $40 plan give you enough?
