the WORST carrier w/ the WORST customer service IMO 👿 👿 😡

1. They messed up my plan so bad i had to switch to Verizon.

2. Bought out AT&T Wireless (my favorite wireless company ever) and messed it all up!!
👿
3. Customer service reps unhelpful!! transfered around and hardly any speak fluent english!

4. Network issues where my phone would ring 50% of the time when people called. other 50% went right to VM

i agree but that was harsh, imo he should had moved to sprint or tmo, i dont like companies that restrict what their customer can do w/ tha s#3t they buy, and red wtf, but i really dont care what cellphone company people are under, im happy w/ cingy and i dont understand these "horrible" cust. support stories, when i need to call cingy cust. support they do their job fine and i had no bad experience, and every company has sumthin sh*8ty about it

Some people will whine, scream and cry just to whine scream and cry, God forbib if something doesent go the way that they think it should and get another free phone after 3 months of service.
Half the time its the customers fault for not reading t&c's and also for not knowing exactly what it is they are purchacing. Like buying a service plan and thinking that sms is free to recieve or crying "WTF? Deductable on insuance?".

Bottom line is consumers need to be more aware, ask more questions and read their contracts.

I guess when the OP needs to change his rate plan and verizon doesnt tell him that it will change his contract... He will be back because the grass is not greener on the otherside.

Or do what I am doing: I am buying out my T-Mobile contract, and using my cell phone on prepaid for emergencies, and I am getting an UNLIMITED nationwide calling plan with at&t for dirt cheap.

Even with the ETF I am saving a lot of money...and I will never be in a contract again! Honestly cell phones are meant to be a convenience. Really only business professionals, entrpreneurs, etc should have huge wireless plans, cuz they need it.

The advantage of prepaid is if you don't like the service you won't be punished for getting rid of it. And most basic prepaid phones are under 50 dollars. Prepaid has really improved a lot since I last had it 3 years ago.

Hey AwpdsR, I was in the same boat as you. I had AT&T wireless and was happy as a pig in mud...that is until "Cingular" took over. Within two months, I paid my early cancellation fee, went to Verizon, and have never been happier. No more dropped calls, I actually get my voicemails when people leave them, not after 3 days like I did with Cingular. Welcome to a real cellular provider!! 😉

I've had Verizon, Iwireless, and US Cell. By far, hands down, Cingular is the way to go. Iwireless doesn't have crap for contract plans, prepay is the only thing they excel at. US Cell is great, if you want a local plan only and a bunch of questionable policies. Verizon just downright would be the worst of all in my opinion. If you want your bill to always be over what you expect and be charged for things you've never used or roaming then go with them all you want. I'll stick with Cingular. I've never dropped calls, there's no roaming charges ever, pure nationwide plans, fastest growing network with the best coverage of the US. (Don't go by what Verizon or US Cell shows you on their brochures.) Customer service is like any other cus...

I think Verizon sucks. I just switched to Cingular and couldn't be happier. My reception is way better and I don't like 60% dropped calls like I did w/ Verizon.

If you bitch long enough to the right people, you'll always get what you want. Verizon customer service isn't much better. After all, they're just there to take your money and rarely care about you. :p
