It's been my understanding for many, many months that UMTS/HSDPA is being deployed soon after network integration is completed. Is this correct? or not? Because after reading that Miami will have UMTS/HSDPA as soon as Aug is very misleading to me. When I look on the MTi map tool one can say that this market hasn't been integrated yet (not even started!!)
What do you guys think about this?

Confused.

My reps have been telling me that they are deploying UMTS alongside integration, with more emphasis on integration. They told me that UMTS will start being deplyed on a larger scale one integration is done.

I always went by it, I could've put my hand on the fire by what it showed. 😢

Your right MTI map tool is not always updated. For front line people we should still use MTI map tool just to let us know network work is present. Could mean UMTS or network integration or both.

It is true. During integration, the towers, radios, spectrum, and infrastructure including E911 systems were merged into one more efficient system. At the same time radios and cabinets were installed that were UMTS capable in addition to supporting GSM and EDGE functions to conti...
