SE Z520 or Motorola ROKR
cin06Mar 8, 2006, 8:25 PM
Hi,
I currently have a Samsung S307 and am on a Family Talk Plan with three phones and no contract. Because I need to purchase three phones, price is a factor. Need a phone with good reception and bluetooth. Looking at the
SE 7520 and the ROKR (don't like the RAZR or SLVR). Which would you recommend and why?
Thank you!

Well seeing that the SLVR and ROCKR are the same exact phone except one is flat, I would recommend the SE Z520. Not sure how you came up with liking the rockr and not liking the slvr. If its just style or looks your going off of then just pick what you like.

Thanks for your response. You're right -- the reason that I don't like the SLVR is because it is flat. Can't get used to "no buttons". I know I am probably in the minority and it seems to be a popular phone, but when I look at them in the stores, I am more comfortable with the ROKR.

Is one of these phones known for having better reception than the other?
...
Yes Sony Ericsson Z520 puts out more DB's and most have an interal signal booster, plus battery life allows the phone to lock on to a signal and hold it longer, if you don't think battery life effects signal strength, go do some research battery life and signal degredation. Sony phones I have experienced in this area work very well, and I am in a market with no switch, no network integration, still orange and blue, not gold yet, and has a huge strain on our network due to influx of people to this part of louisiana from New Orleans.
