I currently have a Nokia 6230 that I've had since about March. I like it, but don't really take advantage of the Bluetooth so that isn't a big deal, and am thinking about getting the Samsung P207 on a one year pushback of my contract. It's relatively inexpensive, and seems like a good flip phone. I keep a camera, and upgrade my screen, and lose simultaneous vibe and ring, speakerphone and bluetooth. All things i can live with, though does anyone know if the P207 has any internal memory because I have unlimited media net, and make my own mp3 ringtones.

Bottom line: Switch to the P207 or not?

Thanks.

I would never downgrade myself like that. Especially when a contract extension is invo...

i own a Nokia 6230i, and i think you're nuts if you want to move from that phone to a Samsung! I agree 100% with Forsyth!

Where did you get your hands on a 6230i with the 850 band??? Or doesn't yours have it?

when i received my moto v551 at the time of the merger, i had the dreaded whitescreen issue. I called COU at the time to exchange it, and was fortunate enough to get a great rep that pulled a few strings and sent me one as a replacement.

Are you sure it was a 6230i??? Or was it just a regular 6230 with ENS??? Because, until now, I have not heard of any 6230i's ever being released to Cingular nor have I heard of any being made with the 850 band.

I just checked the back of my phone, and it turns out i have the 6230b. That's the model number listed under the mmc card. 🤣

That would be the regular 6230 with ENS. Otherwise known as the second issue of the 6230.

i can see someone downgrading, but contract extension??? i personally would not drop a nokia 6230 for a sammy p207. even though you don't use all of the nokias features now or what it sounds like is your not comfortable with them keep the phone its hot. it has had a few problems but do some research on this and other forums and you will begin to love that phone. espically with you unlimited media net package and if you download an opera mini. 😁 . people will not believe you when you say your phone is hot.

but whatever you do don't downgrade espically if it involves contract extension.

thanks for all the suggestions...

i guess if i'm doing a contract extension, i'll just wait and see if cingular re-releases the 6682 where i'm located, or maybe go with a w600

6682 is well worth the wait, but you may not want to carry something that's about the same size as your blackberry.

If he got the 6682, he would have no need for his blackberry.
