K700
Is Cingular going to be getting the k700? I've been reading that thier not. What's up with that. The SE t367 is no comparison to the SE k700. Why would SE and/or Cingular do this to me. HELP ME UNDERSTAND....... 😉

By the way (just for some background), I have a t616. Best se phone yet. The k700 looks like a huge leap up as opposed to the t637.

the k700 only uses the 900/1800/1900 bands. cing & attws are now requiring phones that use the 850/1900 bands.
the t637 & z500a that are coming out use the 850/1900 bands.
i agree that the k700 and the s700 from se are very nice and would be great phones for here in the u.s. but until se makes a version for use with the 850 band, t-mo would probably be the only u.s. carrier to carry them.

I think SE must be under the impression that I am a T-mo customer, or they never would have made it for those bands.

se made the phone to be an internal gsm phone, not for the u.s. it just happens to be that the u.s. leg of t-mo only does 1900 here.
se may later make a u.s. version but not right now.

you would have to buy it from a 3rd party vendor, cing nor attws would not carry it until a version with gsm 850 is made.

i wish cingular would get the k700. it is alot better. it even has a vga camera instead of the outdated cif one on the t610/616/630/637. altho vga's arent the newest thing they sure are a step up from cif resolutions. phone looks good cingular hope you are listening.

The Motorola V400/600 have VGA cameras in them, and are far superior in picture quality than any camera phone we currently offer.
also, the K700 doesn't support 850 Mhz, so most likely it will not be carried, and if it is, it will only be in select markets

se z500a is suppose to be coming out later this year; has vga cam, flip, ptt, works on 850/1900 bands.

I really don't like Motorola's menu, SE makes it really easy to navigate your phone. As far as the z500 mentioned in other posts, the only downside is no bluetooth. I love my bluetooth. Makes it easy to manage contacts, themes, games, yada, yada, yada. So far t616 is the best phone out there for my uses and the k700 is the obvious next choice, but we aren't getting it........YET.
