V400 Questions

I have had my V400 for a couple for days and had two questions I hope someone can help me with.

1) I seem to have the voicemail symbol always on my screen (even when there is no voicemail). Is there anyway to get the symbol to go away?

2) My phone seems real slow to reacquire service signal. I went to the network menu but the only options there is automatic or selecting 850/1900 or 900/1800. There is no other option. Do I need to upgrade software or something?

Thanks

Hey! Try deleting all of your messages. like text messages and browser messges, that helped me when i had the same problem, as for the signal, i'm not sure, have a great Week!! 😉

There is a possibility that you may need a software update... some of the first run of v400's had some software issues. If the previous suggestion does not resolve your voicemail indicator issue, any Cingular rep can clear it for you.

Does the voicemail symbol have a "-" sign next to it?

My V400 had this before and it turned out that the memory was getting low on the phone. I deleted some text messages and the icon went away.
