Are there any COR employees out there that have received an official word as to when we are getting our SGH-D357 PTT phones, I know PTT is slated for release on 11/7. And was wondering if anyone had heard an official word as of yet?

P.S. I am in the central region. Illinois market.

Thanks!

Trust me, you're going to be dissapointed. And I'm saying it from first hand experience.

disappointed in that phone or the PTT service in general. if you are talking about the service, i beg to differ. i've used it as well, and it works very well.

I've used it, too. While the volley times are great once you're connected, i had an average 8-10 second initial connect time evertime I tried using it.

we have 2 demo phones in store waiting to go on display once we launch the product. we've been using them to test the service in the meantime, and they work very well IMO.

That's where I got mine to try out, demo phones from a cingular kiosk. A cingular rep near me brought them to try them out. He was bragging about it and how it'll blow everything out of the water. If I'd have to bear the kind of perfomance I was getting everyday, I'd blow the phones up.

Using our 2 store LG models...average time to connect was 5 seconds or so...shortest being 4...longest being 7...so it held up well to my expectations, looking forward to a full release on 11/10

Even 4-5 seconds is unbearable if you only volley back and forth a couple times with each session. I don't know how you can get such times, but I've never seen it.
