No love for the Cingular CSR

I am a great Cingular CSR according to my boss. I take between 50-100 calls a day. In two and a half years on the phones I have taken millions of calls. I have been screamed at swore at and have had my safety threatened by angry customers. I have never allowed those customers to make me angry. I have always done my best to assist the csutomer I go above and beyonbd all day. I see very little respect shown by the customers and coworkers at Cingular in this forum and other forums on phonescoop. Just asking for respect thats all not a parade.

Why do you care? These people dont.
The bottom line is that the crazies on this forum just like flame wars and they will most likely tag this one as soon as they wrap their little minds around the fact that you work for Cingular.

I wish the moderator would stop these flame wars against Cingular and the sales reps. I appreciate the job you do as I am sure many others do as well. I wish there would be more posts that way but people probably don't even come back to this site once they see the nasty hateful posts. Sad. But the more we post to the other threads that are so nasty, the more airplay they get and it just encourages more nastiness. Wish there was a way to block them. Best we can do is boycott those posts and not respond so they will die......

Thanks again to you and all the many that work so hard to help the Cingular customers. There are always a few bad apples no matter where you work. Please know that of the millions you have served by far the vast...

From a Vzw rep. I have nothing but repect for Csr's you guys take alot of crap that's undeserved! I know that there are Csr's at Vzw that have probably saved at least a dozen of my sales not to mention cleaned up my mistakes! So from a Vzw rep. to all Csr's thanks guys! I appreciate what you do even when I just call for acct.#'s to port your lines! Thanks for being a professional!!!

#1 I hate Cingular the company, I think it's a TERRIBLE company staffed with many morons.

#2 There are DEFINATELY awesome reps who work for Cingular, including the girl that I dated for 3 years.

#3 Try talking like normal people and cut out the format of repeating the callers question, I used to hate that crap

#4 Unfortunately the good reps get crap because of the bad reps and how they rub customers the wrong way.

#1 is right. CINGULAR is staffing many unqualified morons & don't develop them with training.

#2 is right. There many good reps but majority are morons & most managers are morons as well. I am sorry to say that. I am a hard working manager & I get tired with wha...

there's never been a job that i have even worked that didn't have at least one person who didn't really get it. you have to figure with a company as big as Cingular you're bound to have some people fall through the cracks. i have a person on my team right now who didn't know we set up wireless data service. she also wanted to know if we could set up SBC customers with Cingular service.

i just have to step it up and keep her informed. if a rep isn't doing their job correctly it's usually the fault of their supervisor. or the Training program. but let's not get into that.

Professional is what we try to be. But when upper management & even middle management within our company cannot deliver a message in a professional manner, that shows that company is doomed for disaster.

If CINGULAR cannot keep over all happy employees, CUSTOMERS will hurt & also be unhappy.

It's not what you say but how you say it. Most cingular managers, all they need is a whip to beat down on employees considering how they talk to them & deliver information.

Just not a few bad apples. Most cingular reps are bad apples not by choice but by FORCE by the cruel demands of CINGULAR.

Reps were taken away prep time. This was usually 10 minutes from the moment shift started. This was used to launch systems & get ready & ZONED in order to deliver so called "Great Customer Service". Now the company wants everybody to login & start taking calls from angry customers while you are barely turning on the computer.

I guarantee another lawsuit coming along. Cingular was sued by employees in a class action. Seems that employees were not properly compensated for a long time for time that some worked. Example: working every day for an extra 10 minutes in order to make sure you do ur job right etc.

I have many great reps. But looking at the big picture, Cingular customer care service really does suck.

Reps don't wnat to take ownership anymore because we ding them if they are on the phone with the customer too long. It's a lot of stress for a cingular CSR. Managers now are not even caring anymore to help out & support the reps anymore. Of course, to everything there is an exception. Overall, managers don't give a rats a$$. This is looking at the big picture.

VP for western states visited. She is ghetto like you would not believe. Managers of course kiss ass to her on her visit to our center. Representatives had a round table with her & she was not professional in her meeting with them. She didn't even try to brush off wi...
