i seriously doubt it.
the z600 used the bands 900/1800/1900 and with cing major use of the 850 band the phone wouldn't work in many parts of their gsm coverage.

though se is releasing the z500a that is coming out later this year (last i heard was q3 of this year) and that will work on the 850/1800/1900 bands.

I keep reading that cingular uses only 850 mhz or mostly 850... the opposite is true, the majority of their gsm network is 1900mhz. They leaning towards 850 in most of their newer gsm implementations just because the signal is stronger and reaches farther. You can actually see the different coverages on the older nation maps... check those maps to see if you can use a 1900 mhz only phone in your area.

either way with cing & attws both spending more to grow out their gsm 850 networks, it would make more sense to get a gsm phone that uses that band instead of relying on a phone that can only do the gsm 1900 here.

don't get me wrong, i really like the z600 and wouldn't mind having it, but the lack of gsm 850 makes me hesitant to get it (though the towers in my area are 1900, i don't want to go outside of my area and hit an 850 tower and not be able to use it).
