Anyone else get the email yesterday???
I work in the Illinois market at a COR location, and we hve some merchandising thing happening on Thursday night of this upcoming week after we close.....they haven't said what it is, but my guess is that since we are supposed to be overhauling in some capacity that perhaps they are launching the I Tunes phone or starting PTT services early??? Anyone else have a clue??

its a toss-up, anyones guess. But that sort of thing wouldnt be so sudden. My guess is its associated with the 6102

I can see that being a possibility, but why all the hush-hush behind it?? Why not just come out and say....hey! It's about the 6102, besides that has been pushed back to the last week of September, and they are having us do a pretty major overhaul on the COR locations. So it has to be something significant.

My best guess would be the iTunes phone. Apple has scheduled a press release for next week, so I wouldn't be surprised at all if those two were related. It's even more likely since we know Cingular will be getting the phone now.

Thats kind of what I thought, interesting they are keeping it all hush-hush though....we know nothing about it in COR, just what was leaked onto the net.

Apple always likes to keep their things hush hush until last minute, so I wouldn't be surprised if they asked Cingy to keep a lid on it.

Apple is very hush hush about their products... and Cingular agreeing to sell the phone is restricted legally on not announcing to anyone about the upcoming iTunes launch. Only the higher up and so forth will know about it until launch point and then your merchandising will start coming in.
However, we all know iTunes Phone is going to be released. Especially if you are a mac user.
Also, it may only hold 20 to 25 phones, however, that's tons more than most of the phones we have now can hold initially unless you add bigger mmc cards or mini sticks. Also, i'm sure the phone will only be capable of initially holding 20 to 25, i think it will probably be able to upgrade to a larger size memory

I think it is probably push to talk. Take a look in the CARE or OPUS systems, and you will see the ability to add Unlimited PTT for $9.99.
