So far, Cingular is the first wireless company I have seen trying to do anything to help out the folks on the Gulf Coast after the hurricane... Thank you!!!

yea, they donated phones and service, set up emergency(portable) towers, and worked to set up a line of comm for the emergency workers.
Service is out for about 2 days now, but i did some searching and they have about 100 teams working on it (even brought teams from other areas to help out).
I'm sure it's appreciated and welcomed by the residents of those hard hit areas.
