Can I switch Cingular SIMS in Cingular locked phones?

I'm looking to get a used phone on ebay. I have a Cingular sim, and the phone is a locked Cingular SE T237. Will my sim work in there even though it's locked, since they're both Cingular?

Thanks.

YES, your new purchase should work well with your current sim. However while your online you might as well take a look at other SE phones, the t237 while very affordable is a low end phone so you do get what you pay for.

Other phones to look out for are SE T616, T637 and the Nokia 3100, 3120 models. I hear the nokia 6010 is only 29.99 with prepay sim on cingular.com

Good luck

Thanks for the tip. I was looking at the T237's because I swear I got better reception with that when I tried it as a demo phone. Had 4-5 bars at my house, where I only get 2-3 inconsistent bars with my LG. Plus, even though it has a small screen, the speakerphone is a huge plus for me.

Thanks.
