PTT for motos???
i just got the black razr and now im hearing end of this year new PTT phones will be out.
of course im going to get a new PTT phone, duh, but what new phone is going to replace the razr? will is this "razr 2" ive read about on the forums the razr with PTT? i really dont like that vx3 i looked at it on gsm arena and i did not see the "razr 2"

there's nothing in the pipe currently to replace the razr. all cingy's current motos wont work on the ptt network.

Phonescoop.com lists the Moto v551 as PTT-capable; I take it that there are different kinds of PTT?

yes, there is ptt over gprs which the motos have and there is ptt over kodiak which cingy is using as well as a couple of other solutions.

according to Kodiak's specs, they're software can be installed to Symbian or Palm phones, as well as possible downloads to others, so i guess it would be a matter of time. then again i don't know all the ins and outs of the platform yet.

Well I emailed Kodiak about it and this is their reply.....

it turns out the z500 is ptt, but they aren't going to offer software to make it work.
just notified today 9 models have been dropped from the lineup. (probably clearing inventory for new PTT phones in late sept)
