National Family Plan Questions

I am looking to possibly switch to Cingular and had a few questions I was hoping someone can help me with.

1) Does the National Family plan allow you to talk anywhere a GSM signal is available?

2) Does this plan allow me to call people in Canada and only be charged minutes not a separate long distance fee?

3) Is there any restrictions to the Mobile to Mobile element i.e. only good in a small area or one the lines have to be in the home area?

4) Does this plan allow the primary and secondary line to call other Cingular Wireless customers and only be charged mobile to mobile minutes?

5) What is the time nights starts on this plan?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

1> Yes, provided your equipment receives the band of that area (850,1800,1900)
2> Canada would be considered international roaming unless you were on GSM North America
3> M2M works everywhere nationwide
4> Mobile to mobile covers any Cingular customer nationwide, including secondary lines
5>Nights start at 9pm unless you add the early evenings option

If you want to call people in Canada, then you need the International calling added to the National plan. Nationwide mobile 2 mobile is just that, Nationwide to any Cingular post paid customer. N&W minutes start at 9pm, or add 7-7-$7 feature to start N&W minutes at 7pm, for $7.00 And The restriction is where Cingular has raoming agreements in place with GSM carriers. In some of the markets, you can not roam off of T-mobile towers, or AWS towers, etc...but anywhere you pick up a signal you can use the phone without roaming or long distance charges (except for roaming out of the country, or calling another country)

1) basically, yes, it will roam off att, suncom, and tmobile. but not charge you any extra.

2) no, a north american rate plan is in the works. anywhere, u.s., canada, mexico...one rate. don't know when it will be available though.

3) just that it has to be a cingular wireless customer. no certain areas or anything.

4) yes.

5) they auto. start at 9...for $7 extra, they can start at 7 pm.

North America plan is already availiable, and not every carrier is compatiable everywhere. In the Lexington KY market, we do not have roaming agreements with t-mobile for areas that we (cingular) do not cover, but luckly dobson covers those areas now.
