Hey guys quit having your reps phone into attws acting like cust just cause you can vid the account doesn't mean your gonna get any info out of us, we are better trained than you and if you think for one moment you can threaten us by asking for a supervisor, think again, we have policy too and we are backed up by it, so try acting like snakes some other way

I had one of your third party vendors call in to change info on a cust account when I refused he demanded to speak to a manager, now ifhe knew anything we are to remain competitors as per the merger agreement until such time the merger goes through and btw....I work for a third partry vendor call centre, I'll still have a job and better yet I'm canadian and all my fellow employees are....WE HAVE YOUR JOBS...OUTSOURCING GOTTA LOVE IT!!!!!!

you'd like to think that, but believe me, i've worked in 2 different call centers in the past...when a major account leaves, it usually means layoffs, unless you are friends with a supervisor in another department.

and no bread line here, i work for the ones doing the buying, not the selling 😎

yeah dont expect the outsourcing to stay around after the buyout goes through....we havent stopped hiring cs reps since this thing went through...and im sure att is there major source of calls...in fact i had to call that call center the other day...bc i ordered att service(we dont have cingular in our area)...they sent me new phones with #s that are long distance...when i got in touch with your call center...it took the rep and hour before he called me back to tell me they were changed....it takes us minutes to complete that...why would it take an hour to complete....???

You are "Trained" better? I guess that's why ATTWS posted horrible financial losses and was rated the worst of the worst in customer care not to mention ATTWS' loss of customers resembles a waterbed with many holes. Good job, your training is superb. How in the heck can you manage to do worse customer service than Sprint? I guess you can transfer to the rebate fulfillment dept. when you lose your "outsource" job.

???? Cingular does not own ATTWS yet, so your anger is vented at the wrong company, the takeover will not be done till end of year or early next year. Until then, ATTWS is still ATTWS and their own company.

she was just upset about social enginering calls.
since we'd had a few cingular reps contract either at&t customer telling them that their service is provided from cingular now, since they bought at&t.
and cingular reps calling into at&t cust care with customers info to screw with their accounts.

either way, both sides here had no right to say a few things.

K, I work directly for ATTWS as a Receivables Management rep in Central Florida, I just wanted to state that what matters to the big boys in either company is the #'s that each call center is putting out, the cost per-call, average handle time, and overall cost of the call center. What matters is not what company is doing the buying or the selling, the #'s is all. Some people need to get off there high horses and realize this. Any of us can be without a job. 😕

ITS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY!!!!!

i dont work in a call center anyhow, so i'm not too worried about my job. plus, i'm good at what i do (sales), so that helps. 😉

good luck to you, lots of stores gonna be closing too, they dont need to cingular stores in the same general area. that means less jobs so sell sell sell !!!!! lol 🙂

this is a quote from a "higher up" that i was talking to once regarding whose jobs would be in jeopordy once the buyout is complete:

"ive been through this before, and just be glad your wearing the uniform you are wearing"

basically, the way i take it, unless there is an ATTW sales rep that totally kicks ass, if any Cigular stores close due to a better ATTW store location nearby, the employees at that store will consist of relocated Cingular employees.

buyer merger, right now cingular hasn't paid anything. The deal still has to pass the FCC and AWS shareholders.

WEll perhaps its due to the fact that austin isn't training its reps properly and oh yeha If I have such a problem why is it only with austin and phony cingular reps and why is my call center the best at proactive contract renewals i n the entire company why?

Just because your center has the highest pcr's doesnt mean that they are being done legitimately. I guess we'll see in a few months when a customer decides to cancel, and they're like. What are you talking about? I didn't accept a new contract! I want to speak to your manager! It goes both ways sweetie. No one is perfect. The sooner you realize that the happier you will be..

sounds like you are jealous and yes they are legit we always meet our goals we're a third party vendor we rock the rest of you need to understand we read the verbatims and sent out the contract if the cust signs, its their own fault

How you could you be happy working for STARTEK?! Especially was a rep, they get the worst pay. Local Resource specialist and ops managers get paid OK. I would know I worked at a StarTek in Texas as a Ops Manager (same thing as a Area Manager for Cingular) StarTek has the worst pay for agents out of all out source centers I have worked for. And this person sits here and says that she would throw w pennies in our brad line, that is because as a startek rep all you could afford to throw is pennies. =). StarTek will not be around that much longer... not smart people running that place. How smart is it to sit there and open 3 sites all at once? and then they say "wait a minute we do not have enough money to keep hiring so let place a freeze on it...

ah, after reading all this I think I -need- to post.

I'm Canadian, and i'm not crazy.
But Lyce_princesse seems to be... maybe?
I can understand what why she may be upset, being as I have had the same experiences. But to single out a whole call center or companies customer care for maybe 1 or 2 problems is not only stupid but ....well can't think of anything other then stupid right now.

Plus having to work for a 3rd party vendor myself, I know that if the merger or buyout happens, i don't really care when or what it is, but we will be assigned to a different contract, wether it will be cingular itself (since customer base doubling, I'm sure cingular would like to have more reps for increased customer care calls) or some other company,...

ok..i work as 3rd party vendor in probably the same center as lyce princess..first off drop the canadian dissing...we may have a dollar that is lower that yours but look at a few things....one is that we are not hated everywhere else in the world (unlike americans)and 2 if u guys are happy that a large number of people (canadian or americans)may be losing thier jobs then you all have problems...but if u need that to help u sleep at night then so be it..oh and the client that i do cust care for is attws and i have never had any problems with cingular reps and lyce princess i have no clue what u are talking about but it seems that u are the only one that has that problem..

I am not saying I am happy that some people will be losing job's. Just the way that cingular runs its business they will not have ANY outsource centers. And I would not say amercians are hated everywhere. There are alot of places and people that respect amercia. Granted sometime we do get into other people business and they do not like it but other times it is welcomed when there is interfeance from out side countrys. Besides we are not the only one with armies in other areas. anyway back to board issues. I might have missed it but I did not see anything "dissing" canadian's. Infact I have some canadians that are friends I use to work with some you might know one Sean Mclean he works at Startek in one of the sights. But it does look like thi...

ummm... might want to make sure you read before you reply. I am not saying that there are few people in canada, I am saying Sean Mcclean works at startek too, since that is the outsource center you work for. I know there are 2 there that take calls for Att, so i thought you might be at his same startek, and he his is a LRP specialist which would make him stand out more, he is not a floor rep, So please read and then reply. 🙂
