Unlimited Text Messages
Anybody have any idea if Cingular is planning on having an Unlimited Text Messaging plan.
I send and receive about 5000 a month. the 2500 isnt enough and its the only thing preventing me from signing up with Cingular

Verizon does not have completely unlimited messaging... it has unlimited messaging when you message a verizon phone but it doesn't apply to texting other carrier phones.

Or if you use Yahoo or AOL and receive and send text messages with the IM system.

because im at work and my girl is at work and we write each other all day... and i always perfer text over talking... short and sweet..dont have to hassle with annoying people talking to much... if someone calls me and i dont want to talk to them i wont pick up then text them "what?"

I have seen a 2g bill with over 10000 once the poor customer had no package so it was ten cents per message, no credit was given either it sucked to be them.

lol...noway. text messanging is a huge cash cow. Just on the final show for American Idol, 4 million text messages were sent...that only on 1 day foir 2 hours!

Not to mention that the technology used to deliver and send such data has been around for ages so there is little to no development costs.

There is a package with unlimited MMS called MEdia Works. You can send them with just text but it does cost $19.99 per month. But then, you can send as many pictures, audio, and text messages (as MMS) that you want per month. That also includes an additional 1000 regular text messages per month and 5 MBs of MEdia net. Not too bad.
