Unlocked/Unbranded Razr v3 Question
I just bought an unlocked/unbranded Razr and it didnt come with AOL instant messenger on it. Does anyone know of a WAP site or somewhere I can get it?
Has anyone set up gmail on their razr? If so what are the settings?

you cant access GMAIL from your cell phone, gmail won't let you, only BB's and PDA's can but not just normal cell phones

Your best bet is to flash the cingular software into the phone. At least thats what I ended up doing. When I put the wap settings into the phone the wireless internet would not work so I flashed the updated cingular software to the phone and it works great now.

if you reflash it, make sure you don't screw up - it voids the warranty. i flashed mine and enabled some extra features and stuff. easy to do with the right stuff... 😉
otherwise, i believe you can add AIM as an application under the "games" menu. you'll need to get on media net, then to "mail and messaging", then "mobile IM" then "free download". install the app and run it - you'll have the choice of AIM, ICQ, or Y!im
